Behind Rockbamboo

It is about capturing the things that never stay. Those escaping seconds of the world in time. A scene in the world, an interaction, a smile, a person in their prime. Framing the past in photos or film shows for us where we were and remind us of how we felt.

In case we haven’t met yet, we’re Joey & Shannon, the two behind Rockbamboo Photo & Film! We have been in the wedding photo & film industry for a little over 6 years now!

Although we are both self-taught, our years of experience have allowed us to expand our knowledge and creativity when photographing, filming, and editing all the unique weddings we have been fortunate to be a part of!

Over the last few years intimate elopements have become more of a 'thing' when it comes to tying the knot, and we're not mad about it! In fact, we (the Rockbamboo two) eloped!

Hayley & Johnny booked us to capture their wedding day in Saskatoon, SK. It felt like a real life romcom (romantic comedy) movie! The colours they chose and the smiles all day were what made their wedding day so beautiful! Oh! And they also had a huge bridal party of 20 people - it was a blast! Check out their entire wedding day from photos to films!

We are so stoked to have been able to photograph (& film) Willow & Cale–not once, but three times: for their engagement session in the hills surrounding Moose Jaw, elopement in the mountains of Banff, and wedding celebration in the bright northern community of Inuvik, Northwest Territories (where Willow grew up). It is always an adventure with these two!
